Hi guys,
Long time browser, first time poster.
I have 3 speakers in my setup powered by an Adcom Gfa-6000 5 channel amp. 2 603 S3s and an LCR600. The speakers are set to large on my processor, as I don't have a sub yet.
I was watching a move a few nights ago at a fairly high volume and for the first time I heard what "clipping" sounds like coming from the right speaker. I realize that I was probably overdriving my amp and that I should buy a sub soon.
I am really worried about possible speaker damage on that speaker, the speaker sounds fine, but I can't be sure. I opened up the grill and everything looks ok. Are there any tests I can to do to make sure that the tweeter or something inside wasn't damaged in order to ease my mind? Is there a way to test just the tweeters?
Thanks. :T
