As far as receivers go, Denon are pretty good imo. While I don't have any speakers from the 300 series, my Denon DRA-395 receiver is great with a pair of 600 S3's.

I also own a Denon 2806 for a HT, and it's a great receiver for the price. Bottom line: I think you'll like the combo.

    Cheers,

    Bill

That is what I thought, I plan on getting the 1906 or 2106. Reason being I'm on a limeted budget.

Depends on what you like and what you are using it for...

I found that when I was using the Denon 1705 it was great until I listened to the Rotel RSX-1056... The I noticed that on the Denon the highs seem a little harsh and the bass a little bit "sloppy" (It was like those "loud" settings on older stereos receivers).

But it could be that the Denon I had was designed for smaller speakers and I had it hooked up to B&W 603s...

Currently I'm running a Yamaha RX-V530 and the sound is clean a tight. I might just get a newer Yamaha, I love the sound everything is very clean and response is very detailed.

RH Customs, I have a Denon AVR-1905 based off the excellent reviews in What Hi*Fi magazine, which I trust very much. I am running an LCR-60 off it and my temporary front, the Wharfedale Diamond 9.1s.

Next month, the Wharfedale's will go to the back and will be replaced by DM602 S3s.

I am confident that the AVR-1905 will handle them wonderfully.

Hmm, that sounds like a better idea, and falls in my price range.

              Thanks

Long time no see. Good to be back here again.

I am basically aiming for a budget 6.1 Home Theater solution with a DVD Audio and SACD player. I am intending to use this setup to output positional audio from EAX 4 compatible PC Games so 6.1 is essential - the more the better! So far I have...

                Denon 5800 and Seperate Amplifiers
                by Trevor Schell
                Hi!,

There has been much discussion as of late on whether to invest in a 'Seperates' set-up consisting of a dedicated Pre/Pro and seperate amplifiers or a Flagship receiver such as the Denon 5800, B&K 307 ,and Onkyo 989.

Opinions here tend to sway in both directions...

Well I guess I going to have to head something up on these speakers. The lack of reviews, and information on these speakers is amazing especially when they are such good speakers. I did a search for "FPM" on this site and many other and came up with almost nothing (absolutely nothing on this...
