    Dust on 800, 801 or 802 heads

I'm sure everyone with a headed 800 series speaker has discovered that dust loves to attach itself to them. Whilst obviously not of any sonic consequence its sort of annoying to continually have to wipe them with the supplied cloths (Which I think was great touch for B&W to include) Where I have my speakers set up I get great reflections on the heads of my windows which looks really cool but only for a few days. I'm sure that wiping them is actually making the situation worse as its building up a small static charge that in turn is attracting more dust. Our flat is brand new we clean often and don’t have any carpets or pets.

Has anyone found a better dusting solution? Maybe some sort of blower that uses a pump rather then aerosol or a fine brush….

    If so please share it

Yes I have the same problem.

We have very fine sandy dust that always seems to blow around, so I actually dont like to use the cloths for fear of scratching the heads.

I use and ostrich feather duster to flick the dust away, and that works just fine and doesnt make any scratches on the Marlan heads.

            800, 801 or 802 for my room?
            by Antonkk
Hi, I'm a new guy here and this is my first post. I'm thinking about building a McIntosh/B&W system for both stereo and HT. Of course it starts with fronts. Now the room is 50 sq.m but it's a studio and the listening area is not as big. I can give 800 and 801 appox 60 cm (2 ft) from the back wall,...

            B&W 801 Head Retaining Bolts
            by kmanusa
Hi all, this is my first post to this forum. I am the happy owner of B&W 801 Matrix Series 2 speakers which arrived Saturday. Unfortunately, both retaining bolts that hold the heads to the cabinets were bent during shipping and one of the plastic caps is broken.

            I just learned...

MATRIX 800: B&W's STATE OF THE ART?
            by Jorgitox
I got a chance of getting a pair of Matrix 800's in such a good condition (Series II Edition, made between 1991/1992), but I would like to know what could I improve over my Matrix 801 Series III. I know I could have more dynamics, but apart from that (I really do not need more), what could I expect...

            802, 801 and 800 caster/spike/feet question?
            by William
Wondering what people do for feet on their 802, 801 or 800 speakers. I just got a pair of 802's a couple of weeks ago. My dealer ordered the spike/feet sets and I got them yesterday. He said they are extra (no cost to me) and don't come with the speakers (seems strange). To my surprise they actually...

Matrix 800 series vs. Nautilus 800 series vs ??
            by ManofIron
I am new to the B&W scene and was hoping you guys could give me some descriptions of how these b&w speakers sound in relation to each other. Also what are their individual pro's and con's? I am strongly tempted to go with a pair of Nautilus 805's as I can get them for $1,400.00 but I can get...
