    Upgrade to HTM2

I finally made the jump from my "old" HTM1 to the new HTM2D.

    It is coming tomorrow.

    I wait with baited breath.

And the old ones are selling for R8000. Is that correct.

Connected up and running cd on repeat for the next two days at moderate volume.

I can already tell the following: -

Bass is dramatically improved (I'm just running as a mono speaker at the moment).

Voices and mid range more seamless.

I'll let you know after the 48 hours running in.

My worst fear is that this will sound so good that I'll have to follow it up with an upgrade to my 802s !!

BTW Kobus, I got R15,000 for mye old HTM1.

Bugger, I had to go visit clients on Friday in East London, and only got back Saturday late.

So only could start to listen on Sunday but well worth the wait - this new HTM2 is streets ahead of my old HTM1.

Bass is much clearer and crisper, whilst the integration of the mids and highs is seamless.

Going out today to order a set of 802Ds - if the difference is half as big from my old 802s as it is from my centre I will be a very happy man.

My dealer made me an offer I couldnt refuse to trade in my 802s for 802Ds - now I know why! !

so you are using the htm2 with your N802s? how is that working out? how well do the integrate? would you consider it as a longterm solution or only as an interim?
I'm just sittin here watchin the wheels go round and round...

it was going to be just a centre upgrade, but now it is only a metter of time before I get the fronts changed to 802D to compliment the new HTM2.

                      HTM2 vs HTM1?
                      by Race Car Driver
                      Soooooo....
Ive been looking over audiogon the last few weeks.
And seems like the going rate for a HTM2 is in the 650-800 range and the HTM1 goes for about double that.

Is it worth the extra moola for an HTM1? Kinda what im leaning towards when I finally decide to bite the...

                      by sikoniko
I am putting the htm2 speaker in with this review because it is the only center that matches these speakers.

The 805 is the cheapest of the Nautilus speakers, if you do not include a stand in the price. When I brought these speakers home initially, I didnt really have very high hopes....

                      HTM2 vs. HTM4s
                      by kylek100
Right now, I've got an HTM7 center. I paid about 750 for it I believe. I am going to be upgrading my 602 S3's to 805S in about a month. I like my HTM7, but i notice areas of improvement in the sound, and I realized that for only maybe 500 bucks extra I could trade in for an HTM4S which I hear is a significant...

                      HTM4S or HTM2 with 805s
                      by shades
Like the title says. I'm just wondering if i can get away with getting the HTM2 over the HTM4s. I can get a much better deal on the HTM2 but im worried about HTM2 matching with the new 805s.

                      Thx,
                      Peter

                      by mintchris
posted this on another forum as well. Looking for advice:

Anyone have any experience with the HTM2? I am going to pick up a pair of new 805s's this weekend and I need a centre. I was going to get the matching HTM4S but there are several good condition used HTM2's kicking around for half...
