                Owned a pair!

I owned an identical pair for a couple of years.
These gave true to life size of images just like you are at a concert.
I wired all in silver that improved the top quite a bit. Sold these only because no matching center channels available thus migrating to video+sound system not very feasible.

Never heard them but I've seen them twice in 2 different stores. I've also seen a pair for sale once on audiogon. Odd looking to be sure but not as freakish as The Nautilus.

The design boys at B&W must've ate some bad chicken the night they dreamed those up. Ah well, beauty is in the eye of the b&w-holder. 8O

When B&W designed this speaker ,were they toasted?? I feel they were trying to spell B&W side ways in their design??? Yup!!! It looks like they were spelling a" B" ,and at the same time ,the "W" in creating this speaker??
How do you take them home...............U-HAUL???????????????? I presume??
Don't think the wife would object to this Monster??? Might spoil the Decor a bit?
                      Vintage B&W??? WOW!!!!!!!!

I would only buy this model if I could obtain seven of them for a full 7.1 system.

Are there any recommended "room dimensions" for B&w 800s speakers ?
                            by Eliav
                            Hey
I have read several threads where members consider buying/not buying B&W 800s speakers based on their room dimensions. Others have indicated that this parameter should not play an important factor when choosing a speaker.
Focusing on the bigger 800 series (803 and higher), what...

                            Hi all,

Have another thread in the forum discussing XT speakers (still undecided) - but was hoping to get everyone's view on whether i should get speakers in the 800 series instead? With my budget, i doubt i will get the floor standing 800s, but would 4 x 805s sound better than an XT4/XT2...

Busted Out Burt Bacharach & Friends - Gold... Last Night
                            by greenhorn
Yesterday afternoon had a cool vibe to it, so I decided to go with it. Scouted out the options and there was a couple of nice steaks in the fridge, good produce, couple of potatos and some sourdough. Mixed up a nice Rum and Coke and needed a grooving disc to listen to.

                            Burt Bacharach...

Prior to the 800, I had N805 as mains and they have served me well for 5 years, during this period I was constantly dreaming about getting 802, so I was even happier when I got the 800s.
