    Comparison between DM 603, DM 603 S2, DM 600i

Can anyone here please tell me the difference between these models and why is one preferable over the other. For example, the specs on one of these (can't recall which one) states that the tweeter is a Nautilus tweeter. The other 2 models do not. Does this fact make the one with the Nautilus tweeter better sounding in general and therefore the more desirable of the 3 models mentioned?. Thanks. Can't seem to find a place where I can audition these for my own listening and determination so opinions are greatly appreciated.

yes the 603 S2s use a tube loaded design with an aluminum dome, and the older modles do not. they use a non tube loaded design and also use a different metal material for the dome (not sure what it is exactly). I think the performance of both tweeters are very good, though I do prefer the newer tube loaded design.

the 603 S2s also use a actual sub driver, and acording to B&Ws own back cataloge information the 603 S1 only has a passive radiator acompanying the midsub driver. I have never personally heard the series one version but I am willing to bet the S2 would have a noticeable inprovement due to the fact it has a extra powered driver for the lower frequencies.

      Hi,
New member and my first post. I must say that this is a great audio forum and I have discovered alot of good info and I plan on contributing where I can.
Since you have a dedicated B&W thread, I thought I would ask a question. I am a fan of B&W stuff and have owned many different...

      N804 & tube amp question
      by jclyle
A question for those of you using tube amps or tube integrateds with your N804's or other Nautilus series, how many watts are your amps? I am debating a integrated tube amp, im trying to stay around $2K, but most of the models are limited to 50 wpc or so. Right now I have a McIntosh MA6900 that is...

      602 s3 vs 603 s2

I have new 602 s3's and have the option to trade for 603 s2's even. The 603 s2's have been used as rear speakers on a rotel 5.1/b&w system for 3 years. The 603's are my brothers and he feels he doesn't really utilize them because that are surrounds only. He is simply offering as a favor.

I've got the upgrade bug, but very limited funds and I thought of one that's definitely within budget, but was wondering how practical it is. I'm currently running 601 s3's as my mains. Now under most circumstances, I'm sure everyone would chime in that those are not enough speaker to be used as mains...however,...

A local store run by a friend of mine is about to stop carrying B&W speakers and he is willing to sell me any of the B&W speakers for his cost. Unfortunately I am building a house and having to replace my entire home theater (sold with my old house) and am therefore on a limited budget for...
