I got my Rosenut HTM7 about 8 months after my 705s and it was a few shades lighter in colour. You will find that the wood veneer darkens over time. I have had the HTM7 about 10 months now and the colour is almost the same as the 705s. You can only pick the difference if you put them side by side.

Funnily enough my Rel Strata 5 (5 months old) is a perfect match to the 705 rosenut.

Unfortunately, that happens. Different dye lots and all. Also, as Briz said though, the red wood tones tend to darken over time, especially when exposed to sunlight. Hopefully, they will match themselves at some point.

Rosenut of 800S/D vs. Rosewood of older 800 Nautilus line
        by boarder1995
Ok, I'm in the hunt for 800 series speakers and am consider a used pair of Nautilus line units, but am concerned about finish colors. Black ash is easy to match up, but what about the Rosenut current 800 color versus the older Rosewood color in the Nautilus line? I may just go black to keep it simple,...

        Pooling time,

Which color do you like best for your 800 series? Black, Red Cherry, Cherry or Rosenut.

Since the new Rosenut color quite different than the old Red Cherry I post this as two different color.
