I am sure you'll appreciate these exceptional designs, somehow a little familiar to many of us, but also sufficiently different to make us think.

The tweeter and mid-driver are unsurprising, but the "flow-port" is a shock: the aim is similar, to reduce turbulence, but the design does not involve the familiar "golf-ball dimples".

These guys are university tech-heads, and have developed technology "without considering costs". Available in "pro" and "consumer" models.

In Paris, you can compare these to our B&W friends, if you wish.

Hmmm... I agree with the word "exceptional". IMO, the "concept speaker" looks like an old fashioned 1920s movie camera, with a roasted Rotisserie chicken on top.... :B

Your signature reminds me of a joke by a female comedian whose name I can't remember: "When life gives you AIDs, make lemonAIDs."

acording to that page they brought those speaker (with that shape) out in 2000. B&W launched the Nautilus 800 Series in 1998, so that would have B&W with the shape first. Just an observation.

Our dedicated (:B sorry Lex) HT room's entry is a 94" high x 63" wide opening on it's left side. I've managed to balance the soundstage in spite of this big hole, but have been wanting to put something there to stop noise coming in and movie sountracks and music going out.

                      Well,...

Anyone have any recommendations for French music from this era? I know nothing about it, just the occassional song I hear from WWII films and the odd B&W film I see. It's homey, romantic, nostalgic, and haunting at the same time. I'd like to pick up some CDs but need some info of where to start....

Anyone familiar with the Rotel RA-820A integrated amp (circa 1986)?
                      by Sylvian
s anyone here familiar with the Rotel RA-820A integrated, circa around 1986? It looks just like the more popular RA-840BX, except this has tone controls, and a switch to turn off the tone controls. I'm considering buying an as new condition specimen of this model for about $90US. I originally thought...

The director of Brooklyn Rules( Michael Corrente ) must be have studied Martin Scorcese's style, because I could have sworn I was watching a Scorcese film.

This is a story about three life long friends ( Freddie Prinz Jr., Jerry Ferrara and Scott Caan ). We see how they developed from...
