    B&W 802D's

Hey all, I just purchased a pr. of B&W 802D's and so far i love them. They seem to sound better every time i play them. Just wanted to get some insight from others who may own some 802D's just to get other opinions from others that have experienced the 2D's. What's your take on them. I have owned them for about 3 months or so. They should be fully burned-in soon i hope, and i haven't really been using them like i want too. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.
    Teeball.

Uhmmm you can send them to me! :P

How's that for feed-back!?!?! ha ha ha.

I'd say for having them for three months, feel free to play them how you want to play them, they should be well broken in by now if you've listened to them on a regular basis....

I'm jealous as I can't wait to eventually afford my pair...

Are you using the spikes ? I've found that to make a difference.

As already stated, if you are not using spikes, you should, it does make a nice improvement in the bottom end. I have had my 2D's for about 6 months now and feel that they finally settle in at around 5-6 months, and I use them a lot.

Just like the Signature 805's I owned, they make huge strides in the first 4 days, but settled in nicely after many months of play. (Ironically on both, after several months, the transformation seems to happen over night.)

I have had my 802D for a few days now. So far they sound pretty good. I also have the HTM2D and 805S but have not had the time to take them out of boxes yet.

I am driving the 802D with Krell FPB 350MCX monoblocks. The center will be also be driven another 350MCX.

Nice setup !! Krellfan. I have a pair of Krells also, but the 2250 and the 3250. If I would upgrade, it would only be a 350CX for the front 802d's. and use the other 2 krells for 7.1. I've got the same speakers in the front and center, but 804S' for surrounds.

Even though I blew one of the base drivers, I have not had any regrets with the 802D speakers. I use the speakers for both music and home HT. My speakers are all B&W. They are in use non stop from morning to night.
I have a Mcintosh MC402 amp for the 802D left and right and run all the other speakers off of a Mcintosh 207. I have put all of my music on the Mcintosh 300 server.
When I am watching movies, I turn on a 15 inch Velodyne sub for that extra punch.
Have fun and enjoy your 802Ds. I think you made a great choice.

Hi all. I currently have a B&W CM setup, but the local dealer is offering me a pretty great opportunity to upgrade. He is willing to let me trade-in any or all of my gear at the same cost that I paid for it and put the money toward a new system. However, I only have until May (when I have to move...

I'm slowly building up my surround setup and I'm trying to decide whether to go with 802Ds on the rear channels (I currently have 2 already) for the purpose of matching the sound for surround, or moving the 802Ds I have to the real channels and purchasing 800Ds for the front L/R channels. I plan on...

Surround Speaker Project Concept, need feedback
                  by dlneubec
I had been thinking about doing a surround speaker similar to one Dickason did in the Loudspeaker Design Cookbook. His contention is that surround speakers present a completely different design problem than the typical LCR speaker. They should have a more diffuse sound field. His design had one front...

                  802Ds and Sound Anchor
                  by ninja12
Now that I have decided on the final resting spot for my 802Ds, I am going to remove the roller glides and put them on the spikes. I am also thinking about getting some speaker stands from Sound Anchors to put them on. But, before I do that, I was wondering if anyone has put their 802Ds on the spikes...
