I have a strange problem that I hope you can help me with. I'm not sure which club would be the appropriate forum, but here goes anyway. I just completed my HT room and my 803S's and HTM3S sounds fantastic. Unfortunately, I had to use CCM 65 ceiling spekers in the back because of my lack of space and room layout. That's where my problem eminates from. My furnace/ air conditioning unit is at the back of the seating area. This was the only design possible because of the shape of the room. I put bi-fold doors in front of the furnace, but when the air conditioning fan comes on, since it is so close to the seating area, the noise is very noticable. I'm sure that when winter sets in the furnace sounds will be even louder. Other than installing solid doors and door frames, which is what I am planning to do if I can't find some other way to reduce the noise, does anybody know of any materials that I can put behind the bi-fold doors to reduce or eliminate the sound. Remember, I will need to get to the furnace periodically to service the unit and the front of the furnace is bout 6 to 8 inches from the door. (I have made sure that the furnace is able to get plenty of air from a source on another wall.)

Our dedicated (:B sorry Lex) HT room's entry is a 94" high x 63" wide opening on it's left side. I've managed to balance the soundstage in spite of this big hole, but have been wanting to put something there to stop noise coming in and movie sountracks and music going out.

I got some really good suggestions here last year regardning an USB-humming noise, and now some year later, I might try this forum again.
