I like my DM603s3s. I have them paired with a LCR60s3 as center, and DM601s3's as rears, all powered by a Rotel RMB-1075.
I only have 2 real complaints about them. One of my speakers exhibits a strange squeaking noise sometimes, only during 2 things I can find, one being the DTS intro at reasonably high volume, and during the Oliphant scene of LOTR. It isn't a blown speaker, I think it is crossover related and specific to this particular speaker. I haven't taken it in for warranty work because it is a royal pain in the butt here in NYC.
The only legitimate complaint I really have is that they don't have enough bass. I really feel like I need a subwoofer (which I don't have), to enjoy some of the music I listen to.
My sales rep actually convinced me to pick the 603s over the 604s and I agree that the 604s probably aren't worth the extra money. I think the 603's paired with a nice subwoofer would be an excellent match.- Bottom

Have you considered the LCR600 S3? I used to have the LCR60 S3 and to be honoust, I found its performance rather dissappointing. Furthermore, B&W advices to pair the LCR600 with the (larger) 600 serie floorstanders...Originally posted by KyleI like my DM603s3s. I have them paired with a LCR60s3...

Secondly, I remember the review praising the DM603 S3's bass performance (the guy actually didn't feel the urge to add a sub...). Is it maybe your room / positioning or do you play music at loud volumes?Marantz SR7005, UD5007; B&W SCMS, Nautilus SCM1; Velodyne SPL-1200R- Bottom

Hmm, funny. I was about to say the same thing but then for the 603s... Drewbert, don't forget that for real deep (HT) bass you'll be needing a sub anyway; the 604's extended bass performance (compared to the 603) can't compensate for that...Originally posted by DrewbertThis makes me feel much better.... haha 604s here I come. thanks for the article.Marantz SR7005, UD5007; B&W SCMS, Nautilus SCM1; Velodyne SPL-1200R- Bottom

I have the same setup as "kyle", DM603 S3 in the front, DM601 S3 in the rear, a Velodyne 3750 Sub, all hooked up to my Rotel RSX-1056 and man does this setup rock! Both for HT and music! My setup is in my bonus room (18 x 30) and the system fills it up perfectly. I'm a newbie when it comes down to High-End Audio/Video, but I must say that I am very pleased with my first purchase of B&W Speakers and Rotel Power. I do agree that without a sub, this setup lacks the "thump" for HT & music.- Bottom

Drewbert, you will definitely like the 604s, you give them a good couple months and you will be constantly impressed by the sound that comes from them (for their price). I've completely enjoyed every minute of my 604s listening experience.
Just makes me really excited to someday move up to the 800 series....
Hopefully 802Ds!

by ZoranThis is my first full review of any product after approx. 15 or so years audiophilia behind, so it’s natural I want to share my impressions with audio fellows exactly over here on Htguide forum – IMO the most qualified place today to talk about B&W as consumer.

by Joey_VAs some of you know, I've been searching for my next pair of speakers. My budget for the speaker goes to $50,000. Which is basically Wilson Alexia category. Every speaker I've heard is SOTA... but there are so many different flavors.
Most recently, I've heard the 800 Diamonds (paired...-

by gornirHi everyone,
I have written a small review on the Zaph Audio ZA-SR71 loudspeaker design. The ZA-SR71 is a popular and a well-regarded design among the DIY community and rightfully so.
The ZA-SR71 is both technically well-designed and a good performer sonically, paired with...-
