B&W CDM 1 SE, AMP TO MAKE MUSIC PLEASE....

Hello 2 all,

I have these (many say great) CDM 1se speakers and cant make them to sing...AAARRRGGGH

I tried only with Arcam Alpha gear and that was a BAD match ...

I am currently looking to find a different MUSICAL WARM AUCDIOPHILE AMP
BUT based on experiences other people had, cause I learned that if you buy 2 components that are very-peak-hi-end and they don't mix well together you will get mediocre or bad sound...

SYNERGY is what I am after
Also this amp has to play well all kinds of music, but a bit on the warmer side...
I was advised : Classe cap-100, Pathos classic One, Electrocompaniet eci-3, Shanling slm-40(whatta hell is this?) but feel free to advise other.
YOUR EXPERIENCES PLEASE...

marko, check out the parasound halo amps. I am auditioning the a21 right now with my 805S and am very impressed. Check out my review in the Parasound forum:

Of course, all of the recommendations you get should only serve as a starting point. You need to try them for yourself.

I have the amplifier for you. The audio refinement complete. I owned the B&W CDM 1NT, and I've owned the audio refinement four times. The match is awesome, and it took me two years of switching gear to realize it. The Complete is warm, musical, with decent bass, and can make your CDM's sing like crazy. New about 1K, but can be had on the used market for around 500. It's a popular seller so if you don't like it, you can roll it over without a loss. A definite must listen with those speakers.
