    ASW855 Appears...

    Hi,

    Dealers (inlcuding mine) have started to recieve shipments of the ASW855 sub and B&Ws web-site has been updated to delete the previously announced ASW865 and ASW875 subs... Interesting - as spec-wise the ASW855 seems awefully like the proposed ASW865...

    Perhaps B&W are having trouble getting the digital room equalisation features of the ASW875 working??

      Is the ASW 875 going to be released in september or is it going to be an ASW 975 Geoff????

      Aussie Geoff here - Point taken and Post Corrected
      Still it is interesting how the 865 and 875 has vanished!

          I am trying to decide wheather the extra $$$$ is worth getting the ASW 875 over the ASW855. Should I just save my money and get the ASW 855? Is there really much difference between the 2 subs besides the DSP room correction that the ASW 875 has.

          I've been told the ASW875's are not yet shipping. I'm pretty close to finalizing the purchase of a 5.1 system with 802D's as the front left and right speakers, and am leaning toward HTM1D for the center. I will probably go with McIntosh MC501's for the front three speakers.

          I found this browsing online but it isn't yet on the website. Does anyone know any more. I pasted specs below. It looks to be just like the 855 but with an acoustic correction feature.
