    Q. for 601s3 owners re mounting as surrounds

Hopefully early next year i'll be getting the 601s3 for surround duty to compliment the rest of my setup. They will need to be wall mounted somehow. My question is would i be better off putting them on a small shelf or a mounting bracket.Does anyone have the 601s3 as surrounds would like to know how they should or could be mounted. Are there any mounts that would be good for this purpose thanks.

I do have them as surrounds but they're currently stand mounted. I did order a mount for them originally, assembled the mount, but haven't used them yet. I only have a 5.1 setup right now, when I go to 7.1, I'll use the mounts and have them at the side surrounds position. If you don't have to wall mount them, I'd suggest you not to, because it'll sound better away from a wall. If you must wall mount them, I'd suggest you look for a mount that can safely extend it as far away from the wall as possible. Good luck.

unfortunately standmount is not an option.I definately need to place them on the wall.Looking for suggestions regarding mounts or just put them on a shelf.

        Location of rear surrounds
        by mskvarenina
In a 21 x 14 sized room I can easily mount rear surrounds (in a 5.1 system) on the rear wall (14') but how mad is this compared to moving them to the sides?

Rear Surrounds-Wall mounted Bookshelf Speakers-Sound Quality?
        by Russ L
Does anyone have wall mounted small bookshelf speakers as rear surrounds and how do they sound? I was thinking of any examples but especially the B&W DM600s. Was considering this as a solution for limited room space and can't use in-wall speakers.
        Thanks. Russ

How do I wall mount 601s? It is going to be my surrounds and. I was looking at some not so expensive mounts, but they require drilling the B&Ws !
I am not able to imagine putting two holes in the beautiful 601s. But it looks like the most inexpensive and resonably good looking option ( I...

Cool looking wall mount with great sound (BG?, Maggie?)

Sorry to start a second topic, but it is seperate from my other question.

My darling partner and I have bought a new place and she has banished my main speakers (orionesque dipoles) to the basement. We have a prettier perspex version which is fine for the bedroom, but whilst she loves...
