What are you matching it with, upgrading to to mach it with and what are your intentions in regards to getting an external amp in the near (6mo.) future?

I had a Matrix HTM matched with my 604's and to be honest, it just did not blend well. I would not recommend getting a better center just for the sake of having a better center. You really need to have your soundstage timbre matched.
I'm just sittin here watchin the wheels go round and round...

New center channel for a pair of old CDM7 SE's
        by kurtzp
At the time of my purchase of the CDM7 SE's in the 90's, I bought the CDMC SE center channel. I was never very satisfied with the center channel sound since it seemed a bit muffled to me and I would have to turn up the volume way too high for intelligible dialogue. In my new sound system setup, that...

The main issue is that I would need to spend a ton on a new tv stand (45" widescreen lcd) or buy a new TV and mount it on the wall in order to get the htm1 to fit comfortable on a stand with any other gear.
