For me its one of the best speaker ever....BUT-----my friend you need power.....lots of watts for this awesome sound beast!!!!!!

I think this is true of the N801, but much less so of the 801D. In fact it seems easier to drive then my 804s..

If you feed right this beast you gonna loose your mind ....ok i know.....need much money to spend !!!!!

Some new changes in my system.....

Since 6 months i sold my valve preamp--Mod Wright 36.5 model and i bought a Lio-8 from Metric halo.

Iam use it as preamp and Dac and the results are trully awesome.






A new digital game for me .........

I am playing my cd player AMR CD 77 with xlr to trs .
I am using firewire cable to my Mac mini and also a xlr to trs straight up to my Krell FPB 400 cx!

This machine really knows how to play music with truth and magic!!!!!!!

I didn't know 801D existed?

They are not current generation diamonds as you are correct the 801's were discontinued, they are last generation, from back when B&W was also making the HTM1D.

Yep...

They were made for 5 years (2005-2009) and have the same diamond tweeter as the older 803D, 802D and 800D.

Yes... and if they could do a good job mastering her albums it could be good.

Unfortunately for a good voice they sure have made her sound quite poor on a good hi-fi setup..

Are you referring to a CD, or to her live performance on blu-ray? I heard the blu-ray was excellent, but I have not seen/heard it in person.

OK.. I watched the first one again (for the 30 seconds I could stand) and I can't believe that anyone could watch that start to finish.

I think if you keep them with this narrow spacing you should not toe.. But it never hurts to experiment..

You have very nice equipment , why don't you have a cabinet for it all to live in? As nice as everything is my man , that setup you have looks awful. My wife would kill me if I did mine like that.
From the looks of the cabinet you own , it won't fit inside properly?

I think you just need a cabinet to fit everything inside , you already have a very nice system man.
I suggest checking out salamander designs , they make great very long lasting cabinets that should fit in that space you have.
