Makes sense. Hope moving your center forward helped.

BTW, with as much room as you have, being in SF...you must be rich

Very nice system Mortal. Always a challenge to integrate a system in a living space. You've done it quite well!
A camera, passport, good music, good food and good company is all I need.

Thanks! Yeah I am pretty happy with current system but can´t help dreaming about separate real home theater. Maybe in few years cause we are planning to build a house. Hey, has anyone got any experience about B&W CT700 series? I have considered to build my future big theater with CT7.3 LCRS. In Finland it is pretty hard to get "test run" with those. I´ve heard that they are pretty optimal for movies. Of course that means there have to be separate 2ch system for music elsewhere.

Thanks htsteve. We live in apartment, the HT is in our living/dinning room which has a size of 12 x 21 feet. Very limited space especially with two young daughters and their toys.

Mike, you will love it. I moved from an ASW750 to an ASW825 to 2 JL113's.

Did you have an opportunity to audition any of the Paradigm subs? The reason I ask is because with you living in an apartment the exceptionally low distortion levels of the Paradigm subs would probably be easier to use and place especially with the PBK EQ kit. The Paradigms may have been more money though, well at least the Sub 25, perhaps the Sub 15 may be comparable to the JL 113 in price.

Thanks jeepers. I can't wait to listen to them. I've been reading a lot about the JL113 and most people that already got one, they want to have a pair, wow... One of the JL113 is already overkill for my room. My neighbor already hate me with the ASW650.

No not yet, Rod. Thanks for the info. I fulled the trigger for the JL113 because I got good deal and heard good reviews about it. I never have a chance to audition the JL113 yet neither.
I just looked at the Paradigm subs on their web site, wow those subs are nice. Do you happen to know their prices range ? Thanks

Nothing beats a good deal on a great sub, can't go wrong there and the JL113 certainly fits into the great sub category. It's been a while since I seen the prices but I believe when the Sub 15 and Sub 25 came out 2 or 3 years ago the Sub 15 was a little less than 3k US, maybe $2,799 and the Sub 25 was around 4k US. For the life of my I can't remember what I paid for my Sub 25, that's aweful isn't it it was a couple of years ago now, it must have been in the $3,500-$4,500 Canadian range.

Thanks Rod. Wow so even with the Sub 15 already cost more than what I paid for the JL113.
I try to forget how much I've spent on the HT. I'm not rich and don't have a lot of money but great sound, good music to our ears during our family times...priceless IMO

                                  steel.edward,

First of all, welcome to the forum! :T

Very nice and clean system. I echo dukesters suggestion. that is a hard floor. A nice area rug will smooth the sound out.

                                  Hope this helps.

In the film "The adjustment bureau" we can see a couple of 805. I'd like to ask you which is the amp who is running them but I don't know how to insert an image.

If I click the buttom "image", the tab "<IMG>" appears but I don't know what to do next.

Can somebody help me? Thank you

I've tested (re-watched) couple music videos and The Transformers 2009. Wow the JL113 makes music and movies sound awesome like never before, my eyes was like this 8O when listening to it, worth every penny. Now what's next ? my neighbor!

                                                    Miketr75,

I'm definitely not surprised by your reaction. The Fathoms are pretty awesome.

Have you run the calibration tool yet? That worked pretty well in my room.

                                                          jimi77,

First of all, welcome to the forum! :T

You have a very nice and clean system.

One suggestion, move the speakers to the edge of the shelf. This should open the sound up a bit. The part between the speaker and the adge will act as a small box, compressing the sound.

                                                          Hope this helps.

hihi I've tried but failed to do it because of the noises around. I have two young daughters and the only good time to do the calibration for the JL113 are at late night or weekend only. Late night is not a good option. I'll send my wife and kids to shopping. Can't wait.

                                                              A very simple setup.....

Long time lurker, have been enjoying all the beautiful equipment you guys have posted here... but never got around to posting pics of my simple setup. So here goes...... be kind

                                                              The setup is :
                                                              B&W 804s x 2
                                                              B&W HTM3s
                                                              B&W SCMs x 2
                                                              Velodyne DD18

                                                              Inside the BDI cabinet:
Yamaha Z9 (Yeah, I know its not the optimum hardware but budget constraints!)
Mac Mini Home Server + NAS
                                                              Playon!HD
                                                              Samsung BluRay player

All of the above controlled by Logitech Harmony 1000 + RF extender

I mostly use the system for music in 2 channel mode, occasional movie calls the full 5.1 system into play. Have been wanting to upgrade the amp for quite some time, but being located in Dubai, UAE places constraints on availability and pricing (some of the good amps are almost +50% compared to US).

                                                              Thank you for looking!...
                                                              Cheers

Just moved into a new flat (with my new wife) so setup is changing a bit. Mostly listen to music (everything from classical to jazz to hiphop to dnb to heavy rock) but occasionally watch stuff on the projector. Running the 703s with an Arcam A75+ (used to biamp with a P80, but had to sell it). Use a pretty inexpensive NAD HDCD player and Airport Express and a Pro-ject Debut II turntable. Still not 100% happy with the setup here yet. The sub (ASW1000) seems to be happiest where it is at the moment, though it's not perfect, but I have limited options with this room. Need to get a small attractive glass stand to put the separates on. Any thoughts, suggestions welcome!
