No power regenerator. only separate power line (4 mm2 with a Groneberg neozed fuse, a Groneberg wall-plug and a Naim Power-Igel.

                          Great choice,

so one setting with no limit in the dynamic frequency that a filter line or other give him is a homicide of the sound.

your dedicate line is 20A or much?

Sorry, have the power amplifier in a "outlet" or better "powerline" and the sources plus plasma in a normaly 10A power line (separated connection ofwill give you the "gears") will give you a totaly no noise in the all system. (or well a better solution)!

Thanks, Tommy. The plasma is a 50" ... a 65" would be perfect, but the plan is to wait a bit longer before upgrading the TV.

                                      Hey Tommy,

I picked up the Ultra 12 subs mainly for HT. I am finishing my basement and in Sept all my gear will go down there into a 24ft x 18ft room. I figured I would need the subs to fill the room when watching movies.

I have used them for Stereo and the jury is still out. I like it for some types of music and not for others.. Do note that I have only had them for 3 weeks and have not moved them as there is no other place in my current room. I also have not spent any time setting them up (been too busy)..

Once I get them downstairs to my entertainment room I will do a full review..

I will say this. At $374 each and free shipping I ain't complaining! Even from what I have seen they are worth that for sure...

The rack is from Soundstructures in Johannesburg, South Africa. Similar to the picture on the middle/right hand side of their page here: http://www.soundstructures.co.za/audio.asp

Nice! I bet the room is a bit warmer now.

I will be using them mostly 70% Movies and 30% Musics/Games. And what sub you are using with them?

                                                    Hi showmak!

Wow! What a setup!! My room is smaller than yours, so you shouldn't have any problems. Now, in my opinion, the CM's are better at music rather than movies... I think you should also check out the 600 series. They are excellent for movies as well as music. As for the sub, I'm using JL Audio Fathom F112. Have you auditioned the CM's?

Nice 3d renditions! One thing I am will be doing differently for my next theater is buying a 2.39:1 aspect ratio screen. I find most of my viewing is movies with that aspect ratio and with a 16:9 screen I am wasting a lot of potential viewing space. Not sure how it would work in your room, but give it some thought.

I've got a CM-4, CM-C system in my living room and it's great for movies (even without a sub, the CM-4 speakers rock the floor joists). In the theater in my basement I have a 703, HTM1, ASW-750 setup and it's even better. Given the CM-9 and 703 are similar speakers, it should work great for you.

Regarding the sub, it depends a lot on the construction of your room. For me I don't need on in the living room because there is a lot of give to the floors so the CM-4 speakers can really shake the house. In the basement it's a concrete foundation so the ASW-750 sub is necessary. If you are in a basement you will need a heftier sub, above ground a modest one will do just fine. B&W makes great subs (in addition to the ASW-750 I am running a CM-S sub in my office with N805 speakers) or I hear the JL subs are great too.

Please post pictures of your system when it's all set up!

                                                        Hi Solaris,
Thanks for coming in. Yes, I auditioned the CMs and I was very impressed with the SQ, I really can't describe the quality, it was WOW. To be honest, I didn't properly auditioned the 600s because they were not placed in the same demo room, this weekend I will visit the dealer again and we will place them near the CMs and I will audition them together, but speaking frankly I was not very impressed with the build quality of the 600s, the finish of the CMs is great specially talking about the Piano Black. I posted small clips captured during my first audition and I already uploaded them on Youtube, here are the links, give it a listen.

                                                        B&W CM9 Home Theater System

                                                        B&W CM9 Playing in stereo

The subwoofer used with the system was ASW750, I was not impressed with the bass, I don't know what was wrong may be it was not setup properly. Anyhow, I am thinking of getting the SVS PB12-Plus, I got wonderful reviews about it and this is the bass which I am after, and of course it's cheaper than the ASW750.
I will post new rendition of my room with the SVS sub and want your openions.

                                                          Hi Bryan,
Thank you for your reply. As you can see in the pictures, the subwoofer is the ASW750 which I initially was planning to get it with the CMs, but after auditioning the CMs connected with the 750, I was not impressed by the bass output, some thing was wrong, I really don't know.
The construction of my room is complete cemented wall with a ceramic floor. Tell me more about the 750.

What I like the subwoofer to sounds like?
I want the sound to be strong, clean, rich and full, I want to get powerful rumble...
For movies, I want it to punch up actions sequences nicely...
I want it to go low and load.
I want it to shake the room but don't want it too boomy and distorted, I want it with clean bass...
I want it to last long, I don't want to upgrade after couple of years.

All these stated above, I found them in SVS reviews.

I will shortly post the rendition of my room with the SVS sub, WOW it is so big comparing to the 750 and the CMs, I want your suggestion regarding the location.

Here is the new setup, B&W CMs with SVS PB12-Plus.
Placing it in front, it is really disturbing the CMs, replacing it somewhere else will make the front cleaner and simpler, and this is what I like. But I don't know how the bass will be affected if I place it at the back. Please give me your suggestions.

Bass is not very directional so it would probably be ok, although you could try different positions in the back if you got any room!

                                                              Really nice setup

I only say this because the position you are showing it at now is blocking your walking path, and I'm sure you don't want anyone walking by accidentally hitting your sub. If you are not concerned about that, then you should be good where the sub is now.

Definitely real pictures will be uploaded once the real system is in place. The advantage of the current location of the sub is that I can place my gears on top of it, I was planning to fix shelves at the wall just behind the sub.

You will get all the type of bass you are looking for in a smaller package than the SVS. Do not put your equipment on top of a sub. The idea is to keep vibrations out of the components and on top of a sub would be the worst place to do this. I would try in back of the listening position with the sub in your case.

I've made a few changes over the last couple of months, due mostly to the addition of our new 55" Toshiba Regza. In the 'before' picture, you can see the previous tv (37" HP) housed in the very limiting upper cabinet, with the HTM4S mounted above. With the wife's approval, I removed the upper portion of the cabinet, and wall-mounted the Toshiba where the cabinet used to stand. I added a granite base to the unfinished cabinet top, on which now sits the same HTM4S.

Beyond the obvious upgrade of the screen size and quality, I also have enjoyed the benefits of aligning all of the front speakers on the same vertical plane. This results in a much more seamless soundstage for mutli-channel music. I'm also still amazed at the imaging produced by the 805S pair when listening to stereo music, given the wide separation. When sitting in the sweet spot, you'd swear the sound was coming from the center speaker.

Try moving it forward and see how that sounds. I've always found the further away from the sides of entertainment centers, the better.

I thought the goal was to get all speakers as equidistant as possible from the main listening position, but I'll try moving it a bit and see if there is any improvement.

You see how everything is very light colored, with little decoration right now? I'd really like to change that, which is why I was thinking making/buying some entry signs...
