How to mute ground noise/hissing?
I am connecting my Pc to powered speakers using a 3.5mm to 2 rca + Y splitters. I notice some hissing noise which I expected. While I am listening to music or playing video, it's mostly not noticable.

My very early model Denafrips Terminator, purchased in 2018, has been updated once, with a new DSP board in mid 2019.
Denafrips and Vinshine Audio have been running a firmware upgrade program for some of the older models, and now my Terminator appears to be up to bat, IF one purchased... -

Impressions on the NAD M51
Well I've had my NAD M51 for over a week so far using it everyday and I figured I'd post up some impressions and opinions on the DAC. First I will say that my unit is a factory (NAD) refurbished which saved a few hundred bucks on the unit. I ordered it from SpearIt Sound up in Massachusetts and they were top notice professional throughout the whole ordering process and are an authorized NAD Dealer. NAD M51 Direct Digital DAC
Just ordered; should be in by Monday. These are just starting to become available in the US. I've been looking for something with above average performance but not over $2K, unlike my last two DACs, which while quite satisfactory from a performance perspective, are rather pricey for most of my friends....

Does anyone have experience with external DACs? My current system is great but I still find it to be edgy or bright sometimes. I’ve been reading a lot of reviews on DACs lately and I was wondering if that should be my next upgrade?
