It definitely is. Charlie was 5 years younger than I- the last time I saw him face to face was at RMAF in 2010. The bicycling accident where that motorcyclist hit him really messed him up- it's actually something of a near miracle that he survived the trauma care. But with so many broken bones and two punctured lungs, and being left as a partial quadriplegic, the lack of exercise as well as the injuries will combine to shorten one's life.

He was a very talented young man when I met him while he was a student at CU; he worked for us part time as a electronics technician while he was going to school. He's made a tremendous number of contributions to the home audio field, and has always been open and vocal in sharing his viewpoints on reproduction equipment, but in a very positive way and outlook.

Goes without saying, but he will be missed.
