New sub forum No smoking Rule

I had to inform the members, that we are now a non-smoking forum, we do have a designated area for people that must, but please don't be smoking in the main part of the forum.

Now, girls showing up here can be smoking hot, we don't mind that at all. I should say it is only tobacco that is outlawed...

Glad to say, approaching my 8 year clean anniversary next month. :T

Congratulations Lex! I'm nearing my 14th anniversary of being smoke free this year. I'd rather be publicly flogged than smoke today. It takes a lot of will power but the end result is worth it.

Keep up the great work! :T

      Best regards,

      Jim

        Congrats on being smoke-free!

I have to say though, it's perfectly ok to smoke in the spammer's dungeon. You can even set them on fire. They deserve it.

haha on the avatar. Right, you know I really hesitated to use this one to begin with, but it is sort of cool. Since it's virtual smoke, I figure I'm safe. :-)

Thanks Jim! You as well, think of the benefits we have achieved, no matter what. I would never smoke a cigarette again, never. a cigar, could happen I guess on a golf course or something. But not real likely.

Kevin, you go ahead and keep the fire burning down below. We know how you enjoy your friends in the dungeon. :-)

I'm confused a bit on the thread purpose, but regarding your smoke-free streak, that's a big congratulations!

Doug probably means me. I've been smoking a lot in here lately and I can never get a seat by the window. :W

                What about Acapulco Gold Lex?

                Just joking.

I've been smokefree since January 28, 2001. 3.41pm I think. Not that I'm counting. If they announce it's good for your health I might go back to it.

                                Thanks Chuck!

Sorry Nigel, that is really young. but it seems you are never to young for addiction or the problems that go with it.

It's all bad unless in moderation. I happen to believe alcohol consumption far worse than some things you can do, especially the hard liqueur.

The concerning thing is that studies have shown a high prevalence of alcoholism among the relatives of alcoholics. Whether or not this is influenced by heredity is another matter. I believe the gene that may cause alcoholism has not yet been identified. So there's still hope for me. However the worry is enough to make a man smoke.

not a smoker myself but all the bs that smokers have to put up with these days makes me sick.i can understand when owners of resteraunts or bars may want to ban smoking on their own but the gov has no right.and the no smoking rules at aprks and other outdoor venues is rediculous.i am a little league coach and the pres of the league made a big stink about people smoking anywhere in the park.saying he would stop a game to throw a smoker out of the park.isnt this a free country.once upon a time it was.i also now for a fact that only a small percentage of smokers ever get cancer.
sorry for my 2 cents on this but i couldnt resist.
