Anyone have any experience getting Netflix via a PS3 ?. How is the picture quality on a hi def monitor?. Does it run smoothly and is it reliable?.

Runs smooth on mine. I have so far only been able to stream SD quality.

Yes...I joined today and it's not bad!. Not as good as dvd but better than analog TV and it's in dolby digital and widescreen. Free month trial so I'll check it out.

Any hidden fees or charges other than the monthly $7.99 fee?.

I just tried it too. Looks pretty good, better than Dish but not quite up to DVD like you say.

Nope no hidden fees. I was shocked too that it cost only $7.99 a month no taxes of hidden fees. Been using it since October...

Works fine with my PS3 and the HD streams, while not BD quality by any stretch, are at least as good as the best of my DVDs (so far--haven't watched too many HD streams).

I watched a movie last night and while the picture is a little soft at the beginning, after a few seconds once the stream overtakes the picture of the moment it clears up nicely and is quite frankly, as good as DVD quality!. I'm impressed !!. You've gotta' be impressed with what the PS3 can do !!.

How long is your Netflix or Blockbuster queue? (and how many movie have you rated?)
                  by Chris D
I signed up for Netflix about 9 months ago, and have steadily been putting in all my ratings for movies that I've seen. When you do all the numbers, it's pretty amazing.

                  - So far, I've rated 1,639 movies. As I come across or think of movies I've seen, I go to Netflix and rate them....

Hello. I just recently got a PS3 and am enjoying the media server, Blu-ray, and Netflix. Now I was wondering how good this thing is in terms of audio quality? Is it possible to buy hi end audio RCA cables for this thing? I was tossing around the idea of getting a massive external hard drive for it and...

:T First off, I've gotta say that I am still mesmerized by the PS3 system and what it can do, both for BD playback, gaming, pictures etc. Now, I have discovered that this baby will connect and play streaming movies via Netflix for $7.99/ month?. Holy cow!! And....it's dvd quality and in Dolby digital...

                  Netflix Audio
                  by BWLover
Hello. I am using netflix on a PS3 using the RCA cables for audio to my stereo pre amp. Is there any way of changing the audio I get from Netflix? It is very dynamic, which is typically a good thing. But at night in my apt it would be nice to have some dynamic compression, like a loudness or midnight...

                  Hi, guys.

I've been considering buying a Vortexbox for use as a Linux-based audio streamer for streaming flac files to my Squeezeboxes (http://www.vortexbox.org). I'm thinking of adding some kind of HTPC sometime in the future, but now I'm wondering whether I should jump to that now and...
