    Dennis Hopper dead at 74

I know he was suffering with cancer for a long while now but it's always a bit of a shock when you see it in black and white.

A wild man but a genius.

    RIP
    Vincent.

I will forever remember his role as the crazed journalist in Apocalypse Now. Yes, at times a genius. Rest in peace Dennis Hopper.

He and Gary Coleman are two, who's the third?

Third? Does there have to be a third?

Easy Rider, Apocolypse Now, ... great movies!

      RIP Dennis Hopper.

I certainly hope not, but it does seem that more often than not these losses do come in groups of three.

Didn't a recently widowed producer (director?) just die? I believe he was married to a young actress who died recently , as well.

His role in True Romance was my favorite.

Sad. Many great performances, even in Speed.

Well, we're safe for now. Thank goodness we're in a bowling alley.

Another great has left us. His body of work is so large it is difficult to single out any one performance, but hell, he, Peter Fonda and Nicholson were awesome in Easy Rider.

                RIP, Dennis.

Yeah, do you count Britney Murphy's husband? That would make three... I believe in the 3 theory... seems to happen more than it does not.

RIP Dennis Hopper. Thanks for all the great movies!

Wow... I didn't even know he was THAT old. Cancer or not, he looked great for his age. RIP.

Hopper was a wild man all right. As Jack Nicholson (George) said to him in Easy Rider "it's not who you boys are or what you look like, it's what you represent that scares these people". To a lesser extent the same applied to him in real life.
