Here is the next contestant for "Tom's new DVD Player!"
The Phillips DVD 711
Pro's are it has component outputs, Black level adjustment, plays CD-Rs, I'll say it again, PLAYS CD-Rs! (yes, this is a must for me) has both optical and coax digital out, DTS compat, 96/24 compat, and only costs $199.
Con's? I dunno, the manufacturer just doesn't seem to wanna tell you this
and I can't find any reviews on it yet.
So I'm looking for any and all info on this unit. Mainly, why do I feel like it's too good to be true? All these features must leave a lack of something?
Come on, help me choose my next DVD player -- I can't stand having all these disc's that won't play in my Yami unit!
Thomas.
