Has anyone tried the Terk powered TV antennas that clip on to your dish for receiving local programming? How's the reception?

I was wondering if anyone tried one of this to received HD broadcasts. I'm about 55 miles from Denver, and was looking for something that would work best.

Eric,
I have a friend in the metro Denver area using a "clip-on" antenna for OTA local broadcasts, and he's pleased with the results.
Rob,
Sorry but I think you're just a little too far away for anything short of a real antenna. And even that would be iffy. I realize the pic isn't as good, but what about the HDTV satellite feed. That might be your only option. Not cheap though considering the limited programming

I get the satellite feed now. My impression is that upconverted movies don't look to good. When I watch a true HDTV OAR DD5.1, quality is about the same as a DVD. Sometimes you can see the compression, though sometimes the picture excels a DVD. Many times it depends on the lighting in a particular scene.
I got my 8VSB tuner card and picked up a 5 foot long 'hdtv' antenna from best buy that is in the shape of a 2by4. The clip-on antenna actually looked like a second dish to me. You could gang-mount it, or mount it separately.
I can get Fox fine, but its only 480p. I can't seem to get the 1080i stations, which is what I expected. This is with the antenna in my living room, not in the attic or outside. I'll prolly try that this weekend.

by BKSinAZI have not gotten my satellite tv installed yet and I am using some cheap rabbit ear antennas with my Sony SXRD. On a PBS channel, the television displays that I am getting 1080i. Is this possible via rabbit ears? Will this same station come in even more clearer once the satellite system is hooked up?... - Loading...
