Most users online challenge

Say, we've had that 67 as the most users online for a while now. I think it's time to goose that puppy up some, don't you?

That's why this Friday, I'd like to extend a challenge. At 10:00 AM EST, and again at 2:00 EST, and 4:00, log in, and be counted with the 2:00 being the BIG target. IF you can log in all 3? Do it. Let's push to over 100 as the number of most ever online.

I'm just curious as to the power I have. So, do I have the power? Can I ask and receive? I'd like to think so. Prove me wrong, and I will obviously have to hide all weekend for fear of being seen, lol.

Will there be something new and exciting going on here at the designated times on Friday which we haven't been told about yet that warrants a nearly 50% increase in peak simultaneous participation? Or are we "stuffing a record number of circus clowns into a Volkswagen" just to say we did it?

If we have something of special value and interest going on, (besides just the online numbers game), I'll cancel my other appointments to be here. But frankly I don't see the point if we are all just going to be leaving our browsers open to the site while pursuing other activities.

It is one thing to have power; it is quite another to use it with purpose. :>)

Burke, you don't need to be here or leave your browser open. There's nothing earthshattering about the request, it was simply to see if we could do it. Nothing more, nothing less.

If you don't agree with or want to be a part of the record, don't be here, it's that simple. If it was truly a bad idea in your mind, think of it like this, you have to wade through some bad ideas to come up with really good ones. Well, I am left to be one of the main idea makers here. If someone else wanted to step up and come up with better ideas, hey I am all ears. But until then, I'd appreciate public support for my ideas.

It was called maybe having a little fun, developing a sense of team, a sense of oneness and yes, just to topple the 100 mark, which we will do eventually anyway. So, why not now? It was never intended to make someone cancel important appointments. That's why there's 3 times, if one suites your schedule do it, if not don't.

As an aside, i badly needed to update my gallery pic's and got nothing but "an error occured" message. I sent Matts an email. My HT has gone through drastic changes. I'm in the basement now with lotsa room finally! (No girlfriend either,lol..) THat pic has to go 8)

EDIT:

I was able to change my gallery pic's. Not sure what happened really? Oh well, check me out. I dug that room out 2' deeper. It took me 8 weeks just to dig. Some of the shots are as i'm finishing up but, mostly it's done. Just some signage has to go up, a little decorating..

Here and poking around, though I don't see a publicly viewable "users on-line" counter anywhere. Would be even more fun if we all could see how many folks were around. Just a thought. *shrug*
