Doubly encouraging actually, wide outsold P&S, AND they are bothering to track it separately.

I'm slaved to CNN so I read those 'blurbs' all the time. For the most part the WS outsells the P&S but a week or 2 ago the P&S outsold the WS tho the movie eludes me.

There's more work to do...

I keep telling myself "it's only a matter of time" what with the uh, EVENTUAL move to ATSC from NTSC. We'll all be watching a 16:9 broadcast image, and even Joe Sixpack will want his/her TV to show the whole picture without "them there black bars". At that point widescreen will be the norm and 4:3 will be an aberration.

But, I have to admit I'm getting tired of waiting on this changeover to kick into high gear. . . . YMMV.
