          Hey, that's pretty cool!

What's funny, is that the seating position shown is about what I had to come up with for the power seat in my Z-28 in order to drive it with my blown disk! So, I bet it's really comfortable if you're feeling OK!

And then, you can upgrade this system just by changing out some of the components- you know, different projector, maybe some scanspeak revelator drivers for the 5", and HTPC, etc.

I want one when I'm in the nursing home and can't take care of a big HT anymore!

Fortunately, that will probably be a long time away- just got back from consulation with the specialist, and they're going to fix me up pretty good next week. :B

Glad to hear you will be just fine, Jon. As for me, well I am closer to the nursing home than anyone else here at the Guide, so maybe I'll spring for it.

Nope, don't have room for them in my living room right now- too many speaker projects in various states of conception or completion! Looks like they'll be on hold another 4-6 weeks, but after that, watch out!

In addition to the "ultimate cool" factor, that kind of chair would be nice to have in a household where an avid HT hobbiest shares the living space with non-enthusiasts or others who need "peace and quiet" right when the HT person wants to crank it up.

But honestly, in a home where I am not disturbing anyone else when I crank up the sound on my floor standing speakers (not even the neighbors -- if they can hear it, they are trespassing), :>) and can get the video impact of 10 foot diagonal front projection, I'd rather use my regular system while sitting in my Ekornes Stressless recliner.

Now, when I retire to a senior citizens home sometime off in the distant future, I hope they still have something like this chair (or better) available at a price I can afford at the time -- and I hope I am still capable of enjoying it. Good reason to take care of eyes and ears, and hope they come up with a prevention / cure for geriatric dementia / Alzheimers before any of us get there.

                      Our HT Room Transformation
                      by David Meek
Jen and I were talking this weekend and - knock me over with a feather! - she has wholeheartedly agreed to several major modifications to our little dedicated HT room. What started out as a simple job of adding French doors has become this:
                      1. - build opening in wall to recess RPTV
                        - build second
                      ...

As part of the new features on the BB, I want to create a list of the top 25 movies (movies, not DVD's) for HTGuide members. By "top" I mean the movies that affected you the most when you saw them, that have you coming back again and again. See what you think about my list. . . . Please post...
