I finally got around to taking my four year old to see, "Monster's Inc.". It was decent as far as movies go. Not as good (imo) as the Toy Story series but, enjoyable for sure.
Now on to what really impressed me. The sound was fantastic! As with the Toy Story films, they did an awesome job with it.
This location presented it in DTS and had speakers on the "rear" walls. Now I'm not sure if it was discrete or matrixed but, it was glorious! The sound seemed discrete to me.
This was good and bad. The good for me was, a theater that stepped up to the plate for a wonderful presentation. My first listen of 6.1 was very convincing.
The bad is, now I want that sound at my own HT and will have to wait until next year to make it happen.
Anyway, the bottom line is, some theaters are really getting it together and, I will be at the theater more this year, not by much but more! :B
"I came here, to chew bubble gum and kickass. And I'm all out of bubble gum!!!" My DVD's
