    EMI eliminates DRM

    Record label EMI will begin selling their music at higher bit rate (256 Kbps AAC) completely DRM free in iTunes in May. Other outlets will follow:

    Price will be $1.29 per track. Previously purchased DRM-"protected" tracks can be upgraded for 30 cents, DRM-free albums are still $10.
