isn't this the magazine that gives away preview's of movies on DVD. I think they were slow to get the magazines out though

The old Total Movie was a mag and had a DVD with each issuse. Print run was only 4 before they got shut down by corporate. On the DVD's they were mainly trailers for upcoming movies, plus a couple of original short films and some previews of upcoming DVD's.
All that I've heard to date is that Inside DVD has taken over the title and will incorporate it's features into Total Movie. I recall signing up several times for the free DVD from Inside DVD but have never received it. From what I can tell the free movies are all B type and apparently public domain.
I'll wait and see what the first reviews of the magazine are before jumping in. Plus I don't think I'll ever subscribe to a magazine again. As a former collector of comics, when a magazine comes through my mail slot all ripped, it just bothers me to no end.

On their bottom of the screen text news:
"Top selling DVDs for 1/03 Bourne Identity (wide), Bourne Identity (pan) . . ."
Doubly encouraging actually, wide outsold P&S, AND they are bothering to track it separately.

I've decided I need to jettison a small pile of Hi-Fi News magazines. If someone wants to take them from me, I'd be happy to give them away. I'd prefer local pickup (Port Moody, BC) if possible but if someone non-local really wants them, I'll ship at cost.

I have been holding out ever since the introduction of HD-DVD and Blu-Ray on buying a player. Mostly because of the early-adopter $700-$1000 player prices, plus the higher DVD media prices, plus the lack of HD movie selection, plus I already have a LOT of movies on regular DVD, and have a HD Tivo box... -

I was wondering what (if any) a/v magazines you read? I wouldn't mind having a monthly subscription to a mag that reviews gear, music & dvds. Any ideas/suggestions? Even better would be a web mag that I don't have to pay for. :T
