Also, the new logo has been implemented on the site, as well as product headings for each product.

Let me know if you see any snafus. In the coming days, expect a drop down menu on the main page for instant access to any right frame page. I hope anyway.

Right now, we are best viewed in Microsoft Explorer. Netscape works, but is missing a banner off the main page announcing products is all. All those products are accessable from the left frame banners though.

There is now a navigation window like at the bottom of the forum page on each additional product page. Now it should be very easy to see each of the new products without having to navigate the catalog via the left frame banners.

Really I think the new website is better organized esp now that you kinda categorize them into analog, digital & video. Believe me I bet there are still folks thinking he/she has to use a 'video' cable for nothing but video connection & vice versa.

Final suggestion, may be eventually a close up picture on the XLR's esp on the connectors and a different angle shot for the braided Black Cats?

Well, I expect eventually to have a major photo shoot, where time is not so hectic. Lately, it's been design em', build em', shoot em', code em', and such. Lots to do in a small window of time.

But great suggestions, I haven't given the XLRs their due photo wise. Again, just to many projects and to little time.

Danger kittys huh Trev? LOL. Hmmm. (mental note)

It's been a fun though somewhat grueling experience getting all I got done this weekend. Yesterday I was a coding maniac, lol.

In explorer, (not netscape), there's a pic of the newest cable with a coming soon indicator. A little sneak peak for folks.

We are still trying to name that cable, so if you have ideas, check TTP page 99 for details on what I asked for.

I don't know what those particular cables are made of. I assume they are quite high-end.

Everything seems to be Xtreme this and Xtreme that these , so maybe Xtreme Cats or XTreme Cats.

Or, like the X-Men, have X-Cats.

Maybe your XLR Cats could be called X-Cats.

Anyway, do you have any specialized connectors that only you deal with that could be called "PurrFit" Connectors???

Even if you use connectors that others do, you could advertise that you use only carefully selected connectors, and refer to them as "PurrFit" or "PurrFitt" connectors.

With names like PurrFit and your other cable names, you might want to make some kind of mention on your site that all cable and connector names are Trade Marks of Cat Cable.

Just throwing out suggestions.......

hmmm, Thundercats is a good name Nate! I could always make it Thundercat. Drop the S. However, the plural is a franchise name in the new unsung arena football league I think. Tennessee Thundercats if I am not mistaken. Of course, in about a year, that league will likely be toast anyway. Not sure if that could be a problem or not until then...

thanks Po-ming. Yeah, things are coming together nicely now. Lots of nice products, a few more on the board to get to prototype mode, and then introduced. Will hopefully get these splitters on board soon. Heck, maybe right now.

The other Twin was born tonight. Just thought you folks might want to see. As far as I can tell, it's one of the few ultimate splitters available anywhere. Anybody seen anything to compare?

Here's the latest Cats that are just a derivation of the Black Cat. I think the way this is going to go down is, folks can't choose a color, but they can have this style. The cable will be blue, green, red, white or black underneath. Don't ask.

It's official, Adire Audio and CATCables are now "partnering", from a promotional standpoint.

Adire already has a CAT banner up on a couple of pages, and there will soon be an Adire Audio banner on the CAT site. This is a great move for CAT, associating with a winner like Dan Wiggins of Adire.

Adire will likely soon be using CATs for demo equipment at Shows. A distinguishing honor for CAT for sure. I may just have to be there when that first one is plugged up. :B With a backup, of course, lol.

The Coppercat may be undergoing a metamorphasis. Her skin remains the same, it's under the skin where the changes are occuring. She's going to an OFC oxygen free 16 gauge 3 conductor shielded stranded copper wire. What does this mean?

Well, it means more conductive surface, and a purer approach to transmission than the tinned copper previously used. The prior wire is not going away, and will still be available. I may present them as Coppercat I and II.

Here's the new CAT: Overall diameter is actually a little less than the prior wire, but the conductors are increased in size. Go figure. The new wire is a little less pliable. (stiffer). and a little smaller in diameter as I said. There is also a blue cast to it, which I can assure will be available for quite a long time.

Ok, just to summarize the new differences.

CAT now offers a great sub cable called "Coolcat".
A 4th Analog audio interconnect in addition to Silvercats, Silvercats Ultra-Xcess, and Coppercats, named Bluetigers. It represents a wonderful succession of the line, falling right in the middle of coppercats and the Silvercat line. 16 gauge OFC copper, terminated with silver solder, and the same high quality locking barrel RCAs. Quite a nice product. I run them in my own system now.

Anyway, just wanted to sort of summarize what's been going on. I now only have 1 additional offshoot for product, and that's a similar digital to the Blackcats. That's what Chip bought.

What you grinning about there Chip?

Here's the latest development in the shop. You see pictured here two variations of the same cable. 12 gauge OFC copper, covered in a tech flex for a nice appearance, and both 90 degree insert bananas, and flat style bananas. Cable is highly flexible, so even with a relatively flat set of terminals in an inset on the back of the speaker, as long as you have about 3" or so of clearance, should be fine. what you guys think of em?

The ends on the side mount ones will be finished flush with the red and black heat shrink. For sake of photos, I am using 1 pair here for demonstrating both kinds of connectors. In other words, if someone orderedthis set with the larger bananas, nothing changes, but if the smaller ones, I would trim a bit more cable to make it meet flush.

Hi Doug, I need to know if you are making Ultra Excess SilverCats in XLR for my next cable need is heading that way plus as many RCA SilverCats as I have I hate to find out how much better the Ultra is.

I went back to check out Stereophile's Alpha-Core review and I think the silver version he likes best is solid instead of plated. How about some numbers on Cat's silver speaker cable? Any spade connectors down the pipeline?

Po-ming, I have been thinking about this Ultra XLR situation. I need to look at this very closely before I say. Problem is, your working in a very tight space, and have only a small connection area. I have spades hitting in about 2 days. Kimber spades. Would you settle for less? I also have Kimber bananas coming. Their mid-line, which I am told is actually preferred over their topline. I will get back to you in a very short time.

Doug, those things look nice... even with the brief glance I took yesterday on TTP before my home PC connection went dead on me. So nice I'll probably try them on my main system first though I meant to eventually give the silver to the Maggies for they can't be biwired hence no chance of using the BiFocals on them. Take your time burning them in & don't ship them till next week for I can't afford any distraction till then plus having the roofers pounding on my roof while I try to prepare for the exam is bad enough.

With your announcement I now become a mark man for the geeker & cable patrol community you might as well throw in a T-shirt with the cross hair over the CAT's logo for me.

Guess you'll be busy cranking out those orders. Just fire me an e-mail when the Cats are ready to come home.

Like the way the UltraExcess silver speaker cable's sound with slightly better extension both ends, a bit more open, deeper soundstage. I esp. like those locking banana plugs but gave Doug a hard time not warning me ahead taking me too long to figure them out.

Btw Doug, go to HTT for Merc (John Morris) is knocking on the Cat's door.

Something rather interesting, not sure when they will be on the website, but are available in max lengths of 12 feet as of now. These are 25 feet, never again... lol.

Yup, same ones, I just put a heat shrink stripe on the barrels of these. Didn't really think about doing that until I was in a situatio where it seemed to make sense.

I have heard of these devices, but no, haven't read about it yet. I did pick the mag up the other day, latest issue on the rack, so I will take a peek...
