    MERIDIAN

Since I don't see a Meridian forum, does that mean that the Meridian does not compete favorably with the other high end items that each have a forum?

Does anyone out there own a Meridian pre/pro, amp, etc.?

I had thought they were very high end stuff, some say (Lex is going to immediately delete me!) better than the Lexicon in many ways.

    Thoughts?

Greg I'd say you're pretty much dead on but the reason you don't see to many Meridian people around is that they cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Yeah, especially the top of the line Meridian. I doubt one person here would spend that much on a pre-pro. I only know one person that ever bought one myself and he was on the wealthy side. Not me, that's for sure.

I would gladly fund a Meridian club here if I thought we had the demand. Demand is the real issue. We aren't interested in clubs that do absolutely nothing. Even the lesser espensive supported clubs we have are limited in number of posts. Ok, outside of B & K forum, which defies all other specialty club notions by being very active! :B

There is no question in my mind that the Meridian processors and transports are "Tres Magnifique" and way beyond my budgetary constraints. The Digital speakers are pretty danged good too.

Sadly they will likely always be beyond my budget.

        Regards,

Yeah, I know what you mean John. I did the upgrade from DC-1 to MC-1, and to be honest, had to do it all on plastic. I just can't take any more of that, it's time to cool my jets seriously.

I am curious if 1 member of the Guide has Meridian, anyone?

I looked into buying Meridian but I couldn’t even afford the 800 series chassis without thing put into it. Meridian is very good stuff just out of my range, it make Theta seem economical.
