Total Movie...warning

DVD review is reporting the magazine "Total Movie" is closing down, what a shame, this was a guys type of movie mag, and the DVD that came with it was a great idea.
Anyway I got a renewal offer in the mail the other day...just a warning...Kenny

I'm not surprised. I was a subscriber from the inception of the magazine yet I've only received two issues thus far (actually, I received two copies of one of those issues). They never really seemed to get their act together.

Too bad -it had potential.

I tend to be cautious about subscribing to new magazines.I must admit I was tempted on this one. It is (was) one of the best. You also had to love that dvd with trailers and shorts,etc. On the other hand, I was a publisher (until I retired the end of last year) and have had plenty of experience with launching new publications.One thing I noticed about Total Movie was the cover price. It was expensive. The other thing, they didn't have the advertising necessary to pay the bils on an expensive (production wise) mag like this.

Yes the mag is out of business. However, looks like the 4th and final issue will be published.

Yes we will get the last issue. The warning is because it looks like they are sending out subscription offers, which has the look of a rip-off, if someone sends in a renewal are they going to send it back??? I doubt it.

I also received a renewal letter.
I trashed it as soon as I got it.
So far I have only gotten issues 2 & 3...not counting on getting #4.

Well, I didn't even know about this mag. Turns out, it was probably for the best!

To bad, really. I hate to see startups like this fail. Well, except DIVX. Spit.

I got my april issue yesterday so they are sending it out. The issue and dvd is pretty good and i think those of you that have been receiving the mag will like it.
