    Interesting internet/movie poll

I came across this poll on the www.canoe.ca site (Canadian daily newspaper site) anyway it asks would you download a movie on your PC for $3.49? so far its leaning toward no but this brings up some interesting ramifications for our beloved hobby.

Posted my no vote. Don't like the "buy it for a period of time" stuff. Too close to DIVX.

I just went and added my "no" vote also...there's just something about seeing a movie library that's kinda nice. If I enjoy a movie I'll watch it more than once or twice, I can't see paying over and over for a movie, there are some that I'd eventually end up paying much more than $25 for.

i also voted "no." they say it's near dvd quality, and that sounds interesting, but unless i had my computer hooked up to a large screen in my living room or if i were to pull my couch up to the computer, it's just not a comfortable option.

Nope, not gonna do it. I hated DIVX. I know I'd hate this even more. For those of us that can't afford the DSL high-life, the download could only be atrocious.

Near DVD quality with 500 mB instead of 4.7GB? I don't think so- what we're talking about here is VCD quality. Heck, I'm just an old fashioned guy- just say "NO!" to pay per view.

              Regards,

              Jon

Just wondering who our membership thinks consistantly puts out a quailty receiver line year after year?

I'll vote for Denon given the hugely popular 3200, 3300 and now the 3801.

I was wondering where the majority of people on this site would rank themselfs? Are you a Geeker, a Tweaker or Freaker (ie hybrid of the Geek/Tweak) I've started a similar poll on HTT's forums and it could be interesting to compare the findings b/t the two boards...
