I will be hooking the audio out portion of my DVD player using the digital coaxial out, to get 5.1 dolby sound when watching DVD's.
I also want to use my DVD player for listening to regular 2-channel CD's.

I stumbled over this DVD today and can recommend it for Talking Heads and David Byrne fans .
Filmed at the Union Chapel in London in 2003 it has good sound quality but on my PJ it was a bit soft as allmost all NTSC dvds I watch are.
It is well filmed by the BBC with a stack of cameras.... -
My home theater setup has a Sharp Aquus 1080 flat screen hooked up to a B&K AVR317 receiver and Rotel DV-1092 DVD Player. I was using the S-Video connection between all the components since the B&K doesn't have HDMI. Everything was working fine until I change the DVD player to an Arcam DV-79...
