Save the ODEON Drive-In Theater in Winnipeg!

    Save the ODEON DRIVE-IN THEATER!

Here is the link on the info and where to sign a petition.

It is our last outdoor drive-in and we just seem to be losing too many neat things in our lives that just don't get replaced once they are gone.

HT is great. Going out to a big theater is great too. But none of them can replace and outdoor drive-in for its unique ambience.

So, here's the poop on the Odeon drive-in, which still has a chance of staying open.

Winnipeg's most popular website, Winnipeg Movie Listing, choose a Movie and we'll show where it's playing!

    Sign the petition, please, Manitobans!

Yeah, guys, do what you can to save it. The last drive-in in this neck of the woods disappeared about 5 years ago. Young, dating and drive-ins... yeah that was living.

Hey! It's "young at heart" that does it!

I love cruising to just outside the west end of town in the summer with the airconditioning on and the driver's window down (yes, I do that........ and I KNOW I'm not alone) with the Alpine's pumping some great tunes and then sitting out at the Odeon for a movie (and I'm 49!)

And now that the mosquitoes are a heck of a lot less of a nuisance in Winnipeg and surrounding areas, business should pick up at the Odeon.

            I did my part.

Going to the long weekend all nighter is a right of passage growing up in St. James.

So were going to socials at the monteray out in Headingley. My parents went there when they were young - till it burnt down. I spent many a weekend there - then it burnt down again. Now they need to rebuild it again - so my kids can go and burn it down

Hope you guys get to keep the Drive-In.
Funny thing is the Sundown Drive-In is Toon-Town
currently has two screens and are actually adding a third
screen which will open May 22.
              That's great news!

They announced today that the drive in will stay open for a least 1 more year thanks to over 11,000 names on the on line petition.
