    Mega changer ?

    Been reading up on this baby and I have waited for a unit that would upscale. But, can someone tell me if it upscales through component. I see nowhere that it says it doesn't.

    Or if anyone knows of a better unit I would be interested to know about it.

      It only upconverts via the HDMI output, as do most, if not all, current-production players.

      The HDMI output delivers 480p, 720p, or 1080i. The component video output delivers 480i or 480p only.

      We have our greedy and paranoid media companies to thank for this.

          Thank you, Kevin. I also confirmed this today. I guess I'll stick with my LG 7832 which I bought from this advice and it has been wonderful.
