Has anyone used Solidsteel speaker stands?

I need to upgrade to a sturdier stand for my Paradigm Studio 40's up front and thought that the Solidsteel SL 24 looks very nice and substantial. My current stands are fine for the Studio 20s in the rear, but don't quite cut it with the heavier Studio 40s.

Some friends have their B&Ws on those Solid Steels and they've been quite happy with them. They seem to be pretty well built.

What about the Premeir J-23 stands? They are made for the 40's and are what I use. They work out great and are a bit cheaper than those ones at 300 CAD a pair.

My Extremas are on steel stands, hollow and concrete filled from the factory. (weight 400 pounds with 4 boxes), not for the faint of heart or back. lol.

Adire sub with shiva driver with DT300 or AVA250 amp?
          by Perry
          Hello everyone

I am thinking whether I ought to get myself an Adire subwoofer. Can anyone give a view about a subwoofer built with the following specs:

88.5 liter closed enclosure (down-firing design)
          Shiva 12" driver with an
AVA 250 amp or as an alternative...

Sound difference BTWN 1066 and 1075
          by jonnyz1245
think I will notice a sound difference going from RSX 1055 to a dedicated amp like the 1075 and then keeping the 1055 or getting a 1066.

I will be running Paradigm studio 40s/20s/Studio CC and Sub.

I am sort of rephrasing my previous question on the upgrade.

B&W or Sanus stands for 805S- how do they speakers attach?
          by tboooe
Hi there. I am thinking about getting some stands for my 805S which are currently sitting on bar stools...

My question is, how do the speakers attach to the stands (screws, velcro, etc). I have a young daughter and another one coming so I want to make sure my precious speakers are...

          Speaker stands
          by greenjudas
My front speakers are large bookshelf/small floorstanding that weigh around 19kg[45pd] each and are 60cm[2ft]tall.I have been using some stands that are 80cm tall with these speakers. The stands were bought for my previous fronts which were smaller and I know that the stands are too tall for my current...
