    For now, ive settled on the Minimum phase apodizing filter. It just seems to convey a more open presentation and better 3 dimensional imaging.

    Would love to hear anyone elses experiences with this or any of the other filters.
    Seek out and destroy early high gain room reflections

      I know with talking to Brian Zolner of Bricasti Design and their M1 DAC, he said he has very few people that go away from the minimal phase filtering. Most people feel that is the best. I would guess it's very similar on most DACs that offer the ability to change the filtering.
      Digital Audio makes me Happy.

        Yes, I remember Brian being most adamant on the topic.
        I suppose it seems quite intuitive that the least amount of filtering would be the case that leaves most of the original information intact.
        But no filtering is not possible (so they say) since up-conversion & aliasing must be dealt with at some point.
        It becomes more a matter of doing the 'least' amount of 'harm'.
