Rotel 1098 and Serial connection

Is any one using the serial connection to control their 1098? I did see a nice VB app but I was hoping someone was using Girder. I cant get the receiver to respond to the serial commands using Girder. I hoping there was some help out there.

Second, are the serial codes posted anywhere. I did find this site but its for the Euro version (I'm not sure if there are the same).

Any help would be appreciated!

I'm not using the serial interface but if you do a search in the Rotel forum there was at least two people doing something along those lines and they might be able to help. As for the serial codes I don't see why they'd be different the ours.
