I said it was back....I didn't say it was a deal

in the U.S. it lists for 39.99 usd which is about $55 CDN. After exchange and shipping it (might) still be cheaper. So yeah, unless it's on sale...it's a bit of a gouge.

Ebay is probably CDN's best bet.

They used to go on sale every few months as well...I wonder if they're using the same guts/mic so that the adjustment chart for the old unit will still apply.

$70 CDN is about twice what I paid for my RS Analog thingy several years ago.

Sound level meter: digital or analog?
                  by hired goon
                  G'day,

I want to measure the bass output of my speakers in my room. I've got a Stereophile test CD with 1/3 octave warble tones (down to 20 Hz), and a Radioshack digital sound level meter.

But I seem to recall problems with the digital sound level meter (something to do...

What do you guys use to hold your microphone or SPL meter?

I'm at the point where I'd like to have a good method to actually hold my Radio Shack analog SPL meter during my home theater calibrations. Also, my Parasound C1 processor has an auto-calbration microphone used for the same purpose...

Hi I'm interested in adding an analog meter to my setup, like
the Mcintosh amps. Can anyone point me to where I can purchase
something like that, or help me build one?

                  Thanks.

                  Hey guys,

I'm looking to purchase a spl meter and thought I would ask you guys which one is pretty decent. I don't want to spend too much, I would prefer around $40 or less if possible. It would be nice if I could get a unit that would be able to hook up to a laptop and plot out a frequency...

SPL meter and LCR meter questions

                  Hi everyone,

I'd like to have your opinions on some measurement product, an SPL meter and LCR meter to be specific.

SPL Meter : I know alot of people around here have the RatShack SPL meter but unfortunately for me I'm a Canadian and RadioShack only sell his stuff to US...
