Rotel Rsx-1055 or Arcam Avr-200

    Rotel Rsx-1055 or Arcam Avr-200

    Just wondering if anybody have tried both of these receivers. I listened to each at different dealers and just could not make up my mind. Price wise they are pretty close (Rsx-1055 $1300 and Avr-200 $1200). Will be used on B&W 603's.
    Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

      I haven't tried the arcam but Rotel and B&W are desgined to work very well together. So I'd say between that, the 5 year warrenty, top not customer service and our club Rotel for group support why not go with the Rotel. Now after reading that what was the first thing that went though your mind? Was it yeah I like the Rotel or was it a "but I wanted the Arcam" instead? Basically what I'm saying is both are likely excellent so go with what your gut tells you

          First off, has anyone spent time listening to a Rotel RSX-1055 with any of the PSB Image series speakers? (Image 4Ts especially)
          The PSBs have solid, bass, smooth mids but the metal tweeter can be harsh with the wrong amp (say a Yamaha for instance). How would folks characterize the Rotel's sound....
