No Sony DVPNC555ES for Canada

I was just talking to a Sony rep I know and he told me Sony of Canada didn't place an order for the new ES 5 disc DVD/SACD player(DVPNC555ES)!How messed up is that!
They did however order the 400 disc ES DVD/SACD player(DVPCX777ES).

Now, don't anyone go and pitch tomatoes at me or anything, but I think the DVPCX777ES is a pretty nice unit for the money (~$799 USD), a lot of good features in both the video and audio department. Though it's not quite up the alley I would typically go for, I've been seriously considering the idea of getting one as a secondary player to bank a lot of my CD's (or CDR copies of them) for convenience playing and background music- plus, it has an excellent DVD player (216 MHz 12 bit DAC's- too bad I'm seriously into the HTPC thing!)

For the money, it's a lot of performance, including good 192 KHz/24 bit DAC's on the PCIM side.

Once could do much worse for the money.

J/K, I wish I had the money. That would be a great changer have for my moves and then I could start getting into SACD.
