    My stuff

I finally got around to posting some pics of my gear. There are a few more shots here: http://home.swbell.net/murphycc/theater.htm

Nothing fancy...I'm afraid my web creation skills are about as good as my Spanglish.

    Sili: That looks nice! :T

Just wondering why you have your amp on a different rack then your prepro? Ah...I think I just figured it out...it wouldn't fit right? Just thought that might save you some bucks on cable length!

Looks nice...and Tucker looks like he's some fun as well!

Yeah, I never thought about how much a black coffee table would bring out the black in the HT, but it's a nice blend.

I think I will paint mine while it's in the kitchen, lol. *don't ask.

Ah...I think I just figured it out...it wouldn't fit right?
That's correct, sir! It's about an inch and a half too tall to fit inside either rack. It's kind of nice to have all the silver on top too.

                Where's the Miller light cans?
Miller? I don't think Anheuser-Busch even allows a Miller truck within 100 miles of St. Louis!

So, if your coffee table is in your kitchen....I'm confused.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the comments.
I've always had a good time looking at HT pics but was always unsure of posting my own.

Nice setup ya got there Sili. And that's a purty amp you got, it goes good with the silver Wega TV.

                  Bet it sounds sweet too!

Looks like a fun HT system...you sure you have enough gaming consoles

Two suggestions might be to 1) angle the centre channel down a little with some rubber door stops and 2) aren't those bi pole mains? if so can't you pull them into the room a little more?

                          Impressive! Looks very good!

I do like that coffee table too. Very attractive setup you got.

I did do what Andrew mentioned and used some rubber feet to angle my center speaker down a tad.

You might consider some wire management or some sort of back cover on your racks to hide those wires. Just a thought.

                            1) angle the centre channel down a little with some rubber door stops
I have a Lovan center speaker "stand" that does just that. However it fit better on my old Wega XBR250 than it does on the XBR400.
It's not visible in the picture. Honestly, with the height of my couch the difference isn't that great. The picture greatly exaggerates the center speaker position.

                            2) aren't those bi pole mains? if so can't you pull them into the room a little more?
It's not apparent from the pictures but each are just over 2 feet from the wall. Beyond that and they begin to loose points on the WAF scale. My next house will have a dedicated HT basement and room design will be a focal point.
I'm still experimenting with toeing them in vs. straight shooting. One day I like it one way and the next I like it the other way.

Nice, Sili. How do you like your Wega ?
It's fantastic. People walk in and are just stunned by how good it looks on regular sources (sat). That said, I can't wait to get something bigger.

You might consider some wire management or some sort of back cover on your racks to hide those wires. Just a thought.
                            And a good thought!
I have a weekend project planned to design such a system. I guess I should re-take the pics when I do that, huh?

you sure you have enough gaming consoles
                            I need more!
There are 3 hooked up to my 32" RCA in the basement, two boxed up and one more hooked up to the bedroom TV. That's 11 total. I guess you could say I like games.

I've been forever threatning to tweak this old Aria 7 TLR kit that I purchased years ago, I've never been really happy with the sound of them, they sound good, but I think they should sound quite a bit better than they are. Now that I have enough speakers for 7.1, I would like some advice on where to place them.

I now have a NHT Supercenter, 4 NHT Superone's, a home built 12" Shiva sonosub, and 2 Sound Dynamic RTS-1's.

I'd like to know the optimal placement of these speakers in my room....
