    Power conditioner

    Hi,
I am sure this has been discussed at length. I am looking at a Furman ref 15i power conditioner. Have been toying with the idea of the 20i since I am going to spend on this only once(hope) but feel it is an overkill especially since I don't have a 20 amp circuit. So to make use of it I'd need a 20 amp circuit first. So here is the question I have never tripped my breakers with my system so is there any need fro 20 amps? Does the system consume even 15 amps, even at peaks? Does it make scientific sense to first make a new 20 amp circuit for my system? Thanks,
    Ray

      dedicated 20amp circuit?
      by Herbonbay
I'm currently removing a living room wall to better accommodate my system. As long as I'm taking out a wall, I've decided to install a dedicated 20amp circuit. I've never been convinced of the need for a line conditioner, never heard a difference, but a dedicated circuit does make sense.

      RB 1090 went POP,flash,snap...
      by AB11
Turned on the 1090 and got a Pop, flash, snap sort of thing from the left side very close to the front of the chassis area. I could see the flash/spark through the venting and hear the pop snap. There was no smoke and only the slightest smell. The smell was gone instantly. It did not smell like burning...

      1570 and 20 amp circuit
      by ray5
      HI,
I have the 1570 and Classe CA 5200 with a JL audio F112. Is there any need that you feel of a 20 amp circuit? They all run on a 15 amp which is not dedicatad, without any tripping as of now. I might add a second F112 in the future but was wondering if doing that the current draw would strain...

      John Curl designed AC conditioner

      Hey guys,

Our Favorite Halo designer John Curl has designed the filtering circuit in the Bybee power Purifier. $4,000.00 is too much for me but glad to see him making more great sounding gear. See it at tweekgeek.com

      by Mats
hey folks.. new gear picked up this weekend with a panamax 5300.

is it preferred to hook up the amp to the line conditioner, or will it prevent the amp from "being all that it could be"? also, how do i go about using the 12v trigger for the pre-amp and the amp? is this bypassed...
