Issue with Yamaha DSP-A1 reciever

Hi all,

I was recently given a DSP-A1 by my father-in-law, along with his set of Bose speakers for it (fronts, rears, effects, centre). When setting up the system, I get clear video output, but absolutely NO audio output. I have checked all connections and wires, all speakers work perfectly with our old RCA reciever.

I'm wondering if it might be a fuse and if so can they be replaced w/o mortgaging my house to have a shop do it?

What source component are you talking about, and how do you have it connected to the Yamaha (i.e. both audio and video)?

Here's a link to a downloadable owner's manual for the DSP-A1. Check out page 73 for troubleshooting tips. Hope this helps.

@ David: Thanks for the welcome - I have the original user's manual and just in case, I downloaded the pdf.

@ Wayne: I tried with a bell satellite reciever (RCA hookups both audio and video) and an Xbox 360 (RCA hookups both audio and video). Hooked up to the old reciever in the same way, no issues.
