    Denon AVR-1610 & DeanG x-over ugrade vs Emo UMC-1

I originally posted this on the klipsch forum, but I was wondering what 'yinz' think about:

I have about $700-$800 spend and was wondering which option I should go with. I'm about 80/20 movies/music and I'm trying to get the most out of my system. I've been debating the DeanG(for my RF-7s) for quite some time and with the further delay of the UMC-1, I'm leaning towards that route....

    Background info:
Reason for change: HK 630 is having audio dropout issues via the optical inputs. I currently have my blu-ray hookup via the analog.

    Sony kds-60a2000\Panasonic BD-55k\XBOX 360 Premium(20gig)Slingbox\Xbox(flashed) running XBMC
Emotiva UMC-1\Emotiva XPA-5\Klipsch (2)RF-7s with DeanG xover upgrade, RC-7 with DeanG xover upgrade, (2)RS-7s\SVS 20-39PC+

Might be returning my UMC-1.What should I get instead?
    by maseline_98
I'm thinking about returning my UMC-1 and getting a AVR or another processor instead to run as my pre/pro. I'm going to use the $700 I get from returning it to buy something. What should I get instead? I do not have a problem buying used or b-stock.

Things that I love about the UMC-1:...

Question about xover parts and values
    by kgveteran
This all started in the Dayton WTMW center channel thread, but I thought that some xover help was needed and apart from the project thread.

Inductors: In schematics I see ohm values and mH values. The mH values are easy to find and by adding together in series or parallel they work.The...

First speaker project, need advice (xover concerns, etc)
    by pres589
Hey, I'm wondering if there are some kind souls that would like to help critique a speaker design I've been putting together. I've run through old posts and done some searching and the driver combination I'm thinking about using doesn't seem to be out there so I think this is somewhat fresh and should...

    Madisound Seas 27TDFC/P18RNX/xover kit

I'm looking for a set of HQ, music-only bookshelf speakers to replace my old and not-so-good AR's. I've looked at several DIY designs from here, Zaph and the PE board, but all of them had BSC so I was resigned to putting them on stands out from the wall of my computer/reading/music room rather than...
