    Upgrading Reciever

Allright Gents and Ladies. I hope I don't get blasted for this thread but does anybody have any input on a new reciever for my current set up in my sig. The pioneer Elite 55txi just doesn't seem to push my set up. I'm looking for warmth and deep sound at low volume I always have to crank the pioneer to get some juice. Also I was headed towards denon because my cousin has one and to me its a totally different sound with his energy speakers. And last but not least I was thinking of going into the HD Sound stage with a new matching blue-ray player. Please all opinions would help

With nice B and W speakers that you have, Id recommend going seperates. I have Emotiva seperates which are probably cheaper than most receivers, and are pushing 225 watts at 5 channels at 4 ohms. Look to www.emotiva.com

Of course there are many other options, but this is just one, in my humble opinion.

These are very good bang for the buck electronics, which can easily put to shame equipment at 2-3 times the cost of this. Hope this helps.

Reciever Vs. Seperates. Side by Side?
      by Rolyasm
I am curious how many people have done side-by-side comparisons between a descent reciever and seperates? How many of gone from seperates to a receiver and been just as happy? How many have gone the opposite, from a receiver to seperates and think they where on cloud nine? I would make this a poll,...

Rotel 1056 vs Pioneer Elite VSX-55TXi
      by merlock
Ok I've posted this in the A/V Chalet but I'd though I'd get your guys opinion too.

I just got the Rotel 1056. But I have a few more days to take it back to the dealer for a Pioneer VSX-55TX. Just wondering what the advantages of i-Link are over analogue outs besides convenience? Is there...

      Hello All

I have been using an RSX-972 for a couple of years. Listening habits are
about 80% HT/20% Music. Room dimensions are about 19'/17', and speakers
are Paradigm Titans L/R, Paradigm CC-170 Center, SpeakerCraft
inwalls (rears), and Paradigm 12" Sub....
