I have a "rec room" that is a primary music listening room, and secondary movie room, and tied with my home theater room for TV use. I have a CA5200 with B&W 802D's and HTM2D.....some cheap in ceiling for "surround" that were installed with the house. As i have B&W in my home theater, i may someday trade in these speakers for something else......just for a difference.
But issue at hand here is choice of subwoofer of which i have (2) B&W 855's for home theater room, but none for rec room.
Rec room is big as it opens to multiple spaces. Probably 12000 cubic feet for the total space, so not necessarily expecting a subwoofer(s) to energize this area, but would like to offload the B&W low base and make it a bit more viable for movies....and very loud music.
I am no expert here.....love movies and music (and loud)....but do not have time to really research these technologies thoroughly.
So, initial thoughts are Martin Logan Descent i, and Velodyne. Would appreciate input on these relative to
(1) one versus the other and (2) numbers recommended .....i.e. would quantity of two generate enough base to feel or is the space and uneven sizes of the room too problematic. (3) other suggestions'
Really needs to blend seemlessly for music......bass impact a nice to have for movies, but not as critical.
Thank you.

The room is 23 feet long by 12 feet wide and is 7 feet to the drop down ceiling tiles (another 7" or so above that...
